Curriculum
*The AKS (Academic Knowledge and Skills) Objectives are directly correlated with the GPS (Georgia Performance Standards) and CCGPS (Common Core Georgia Performance Standards for Reading & Math)
*A large portion of the AKS and GPS will be covered at many different times throughout the year, and the students' daily work and homework will reflect these objectives and standards.
*You can access your child's grades at any time on the Parent Portal. I strongly suggest that you check this with your child often.
Friday Folders
Friday Folders will come home each Friday. Please view the Behavior Report with your child and initial. All papers, graded and non-graded, will also come home in the folder. It is beneficial to discuss and go over these papers with your child. He/she will return the folder on Monday.
Homework
Homework is essential for the reinforcement of the AKS objectives. It will be given 4 nights a week, Monday through Thursday. It is also advised that each child read 30 minutes a night, and always study for upcoming tests. Please encourage your child to check over their work each night.
